Activity Manager
Lead onboard activities, guest engagement and entertainment team delivery, ensuring safe, fun, high-quality experiences that meet brand standards across all activity venues.
Position Summary:
The Activity Manager is responsible for leading a team in providing a safe, fun, and consistently elevated guest experience across all activities within the entertainment and activity area.
The Activity Manager actively trains and supports Entertainment teammates, and collaborates with fellow Entertainment leaders, shipboard partners, and shoreside partners to maximize the onboard activity program and overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of consistent product delivery, ensuring each guest interaction meets or exceeds brand standards for the guest experience.
Lead the delivery and hosting of all activity programs in alignment with the Cruise Director.
Emcee activity events to the elevated standards of the company.
Champion service excellence and regularly meet with Activity Staff to collect feedback on the guest experience.
In collaboration with the Cruise Director, ensure that all entertainment, activity, and recreation spaces operate in alignment with guest needs and complement the overall Entertainment programming, production standards, and operations schedule.
Maintain organized and thorough records of all safety and maintenance-related items for areas of responsibility.
Ensure all Activity Staff are trained and fully understand protocols.
Collaborate with all accountable parties to ensure activity venues are safe to operate and in good working order.
Ensure all areas are staffed with a safe number of appropriately trained team members.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Demonstrated understanding of the fundamental principles of guest experience and hospitality operations.
Comprehensive knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to implement an engaging and high-quality activity program.
Ability to provide experiences for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Confident, charming, charismatic, and energetic stage style.
Controlled, natural, and easy-to-watch delivery style that is engaging, humorous, and endearing.
Robust leadership abilities.
Capacity to oversee large, diverse, and multicultural teams.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Shipboard experience in the role or a similar role within the Entertainment department is mandatory.
A brief video presentation showcasing the candidate’s personality, communication abilities, and public speaking skills is required.
The video does not need to be professional, but it must accurately represent the candidate’s genuine appearance.
Contract Details:
6/2 rotation: continual rotations of 6 months onboard followed by 2 months of vacation.
Single cabin with private bathroom facilities.
