Teen Activities Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Teen Activities Coordinator supports the Youth Activities Manager in delivering a guest-centric youth and family experience.
They play a key role in creating engaging, memorable activities for teens and families while ensuring a culture of service excellence, safety, and health. This position is suited to someone passionate about inspiring youth, fostering teamwork, and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Consistently exceed Youth and Family Experience targets by promoting a personalized, guest-centric culture.
Foster a culture that drives guest satisfaction, service excellence, and employee engagement by inspiring the Youth Staff team and ensuring accountability for delivering outstanding programming.
Partner with the Youth Activities Manager to ensure the effective delivery and execution of youth programs.
Oversee all aspects of the Teen Program, ensuring consistent quality and an engaging environment for teens and families.
Identify and communicate guest feedback, complaints, and requests, ensuring a timely response to any issues.
Maintain a visible presence in the youth centers, supporting staff and participants and ensuring a safe environment.
Manage and monitor inventory of program supplies and equipment, ensuring efficient use and identifying timely procurement needs.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing Youth Staff programs.
Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing international teams.
Passion for working with teens and families and creating meaningful, memorable experiences.
Exceptional people skills with a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
Strong guest service orientation, with the ability to consistently exceed guest expectations.
Ability to handle guest feedback and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in youth programming, education, or recreational leadership, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
CPR and First Aid certification required, or willingness to obtain prior to embarkation.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Strongly Preferred:
Degree or diploma in Education, Recreation, Child Development, Hospitality, or a related field.
Child safeguarding training or certification is a strong asset.
Contract Details:
6/2 rotation: continual rotations of 6 months onboard followed by 2 months of vacation.
Single cabin with private bathroom facilities.
